AICPA Honors Robert J. Kueppers With Gold Medal of Distinction

The Gold Medal is the highest honor granted by the AICPA. Since 1944, it has been bestowed upon CPAs whose influence on the accounting profession has been especially notable.

The American Institute of CPAs has selected Robert J. (Bob) Kueppers, CPA, as the recipient of the 2024 AICPA Gold Medal Award of Distinction.

The Gold Medal is the highest honor granted by the AICPA. Since 1944, it has been bestowed upon CPAs whose influence on the accounting profession has been especially notable. Tracey Golden, Past Chair, AICPA and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, presented Kueppers with the award at the spring meeting of the AICPA governing Council.

“Bob Kueppers has given a tremendous amount of his time and talent to the accounting profession throughout his distinguished career,” Golden said. “He is a dedicated and passionate volunteer, taking a significant role in each endeavor he pursues. Bob’s example of leading the profession with a commitment to trust and integrity is one to be admired and celebrated.”

As a CPA, noted leader at Deloitte, and expert in governance and strategy, Bob’s professional history speaks volumes. His clients have included global Fortune 100 companies in addition to many other public companies. His judgment and problem-solving skills were instrumental in achieving the best possible outcomes in complex situations. His knowledge and guidance in these situations earned Bob the trust and confidence of his clients, their law firms, and regulators. He built significant relationships with the SEC, PCAOB, and Treasury, as well as both Committees and Members of Congress.

Since retiring from Deloitte, Kueppers has served clients through his affiliations with Sage Partners LLC and FTI Consulting.
