Tim Garton is a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience in the 1099 filing space. He currently manages business operations for the Avalara 1099 product, where he has worked with many businesses and accounting firms to streamline their 1099 filing process.

Tim is passionate about helping businesses comply with 1099 filing regulations. He is always up-to-date on the latest IRS form instructions and specifications, and he uses his knowledge to help businesses avoid costly mistakes.

When not reading up on the latest changes from the IRS, he enjoys hiking, camping, reading, running and is an avid board game geek.

Gail Perry is the editor-in-chief of CPA Practice Advisor. A veteran of accounting journalism, she also speaks at many accounting events, trade shows, and webinars.
