Professional Associations/Memberships:

I actively participates in various industry associations including:

  • Private Capital Markets Association of Canada, PCMA
  • Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, CVCA
  • Association of Corporate Growth, ACG – Young Professional Committee

An engineer by training, I joined a global bulge bracket investment bank, Deutsche Bank, early in my career in Sydney, Australia, prior to developing an interest in the mid-market.  Transitioning to the mid-market, I developed my skillset in advising entrepreneurial and growth-oriented clients across M&A and capital raising mandates in Australia.

I joined Collins Barrow Toronto in 2012 as an associate and soon after was recognized as one of the rising talents in the firm, hence became Partner within three years in 2015. I currently lead the Deal Advisory service line, focused on M&A, capital raising, due diligence and projects and economics services, and also the Private Equity industry group in the firm – leading strategy and go to market in the deal and transaction marketplaces. I’m also an active participant in the Not for Profit and Real Estate industry groups.

I actively author and publish articles to share my knowledge within the industry. I also regularly speak at and moderate different industry events/panels which included a recent panel discussion with family office leaders at the 2017 Private Capital Markets Conference. I’m also currently preparing to moderate a panel at The ONE National Conference on the impact of technology trends on our lives and work. In addition, I lead the firm’s volunteer participation in the Junior Achievement Program to educate students about entrepreneurship and company development. I’m constantly on the look-out for new ideas and hence co-lead the Innovation Committee in our firm and regularly share these innovations with the larger community to improve the profession as a whole.

Favorite influencer(s) (authors, bloggers, mentors, speakers, etc.)

Subscriber to newsletters from Business Insider and Fast Company to keep up to date with developments, innovations and trends across various sectors.  Last read was Tim Ferriss’ ‘Tools of Titans’ which is a great toolkit of ideas across both the worklife and personal life.  As a firm, we spent alot of time with Simon Sinek’s ‘Start with Why’, which promotes values and processes that drive both our firm strategy and my specific go to market approach with my clients.
