From the 2017 review of asset management systems.

Asset Panda is an online asset management product well suited for businesses that need to track and manage their assets.  A mobile app is also available that provides users with access to the product from iOS and Android devices.

Entering a new asset is easy, or users can choose to import assets directly into Asset Panda from a CSV file.  Users can assign a unique identifying field for each new asset entered, i.e., assign an asset to a particular location or building, assign a category, and enter the warranty information, including expiration date.  Other data can also be entered, including purchase date, brand, model, and serial number.

Asset Panda allows users to manage all asset activity, including maintenance scheduling, service contract data including information and expiration dates, repair information, including repair details and dates.  Insurance policy information can also be tracked in Asset Panda, as can any related purchase or lease information. Our barcode scanner feature, through the mobile app, makes tracking assets easy, and GPS tracking is also available, so users will always know exactly where an asset is.

Users can add custom fields to assets, insurance records, or work orders, and custom calculation fields for depreciation can be added as well. Unlimited photos, documents, and even videos of each asset can be attached to each asset record, and a bulk reallocation of assets is offered for those that need to move a large number of assets from one location, building, or department to another.

There is an option to have depreciation calculated for any asset entered into Asset Panda.  The depreciation default is set to Depreciation Disabled, so users will have to enable the depreciation function in the Company Settings area.  Once this is done, Asset Panda can calculate depreciation monthly, quarterly, or annually, with users choosing a set schedule to have depreciation calculated.

Reports are customized by pulling live data or historical data based upon groups or custom functions, with users able to run reports such as Asset Listing, Asset by Location, Funding Report, Assets by Status and Assets by Employee.  A Check-Out report is also available, as is a Movement of Assets Report.  Users can also create custom reports in Asset Panda by determining the asset group and filters necessary.  Reports can be viewed on-screen, printed and saved as a PDF, or exported to a CSV file for additional customization. Reports can also be emailed to recipients directly from Asset Panda if desired.  Using a module on a group, the product also creates both work orders and check out forms, and users can generate custom forms as well.

A Getting Started option is available for all new Asset Panda users, and FAQ’s and a searchable knowledgebase, along with video tutorials are available as well.  Pricing for Asset Panda varies on the number of assets managed, with pricing available upon request from Asset Panda’s website.
