More than 900 CPAs throughout the State of Illinois will step out of their offices on Friday, September 21 to take part in the Illinois CPA Society’s 3rd Annual CPA Day of Service.

CPA Volunteers wearing green CPA Day of Service t-shirts will be visible in all corners of the state – from Chicago to Carbondale and from Peoria to Schaumburg – as they work to make their efforts count in their communities.

While some CPA volunteers will utilize their unique financial skills by balancing the books at a local community center or teaching life skills to elementary school students, others will roll up their sleeves to pack food for children in need, clean cages at the zoo or do craft projects with a local Boys and Girls Club.

“CPA Day of Service shows that hope can shine through during uncertain times,” said Elaine Weiss, Illinois CPA Society President and CEO. “With their wide range of skills and big hearts during these still difficult economic times, the efforts of CPAs have a tremendous impact on communities throughout the state.”
