Practitioners, companies of all sizes, schools, banks and other users are indeed
fortunate to have such a wealth of strong software vendors from which to choose.
As we have seen, not all programs support every form or sub-type. Of course,
not every user has a need to generate every form or sub-type. Users who seek
direct import support for one particular accounting program will have different
needs from those who need support for many accounting programs. Users are doubly
fortunate that there is strong support, found in accompanying program utilities
and methodology, for importing client-specific and user-specific data. Re-keying
data is truly an activity whose time has passed. All vendors have trial versions
of their programs and are knowledgeable in supporting the issues that relate
to the production of Form W-2 and 1099. Bon appétit!
