The best cities for fireworks sales

With the 4th of July just days away, many Americans are stocking up on fireworks. From a business perspective, however, it's better to sell them in some cities than others.

San Antonio, Kansas City and Miami have been shown to have the nation's top-performing fireworks stores, according to the business intelligence website SizeUp, which recently launched a "Best Places" tool that allows users to rank the best cities, metro areas and states for every industry in America.

"Our new Best Places tool provides fascinating details about U.S. industries ranging from fireworks retailers to bakeries to dentist offices," said Anatalio Ubalde, CEO of SizeUp. "Executives, entrepreneurs, and data junkies can now visit to learn specifics about the top-performing businesses in their industry – by location."

SizeUp creates best places lists by super crunching millions of data points from both public and private sources, based on the most current data available.  SizeUp's data can be filtered by city, state and county, and also by criteria such as highest revenue per capita, most underserved markets, average annual revenue, employees and more, allowing decision-makers to find information that is most relevant to them.

"Our free tool helps executives identify locations for new operations, suppliers, employees, and more, in a matter of seconds," said Ubalde.

Based on total revenues, the top ten U.S. metro areas for fireworks retailers and wholesalers are:

San Antonio-New Braunfels, TX; Kansas City, MO-KS; Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach, FL; Chicago-Joliet-Naperville, IL-IN-WI; Dallas-Ft. Worth-Arlington, TX; Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown, TX; Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, WA; Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro-Franklin, TN; Myrtle Beach-North Myrtle Beach-Conway, SC; Birmingham-Hoover, AL.
