Small Business Tax Professionals Get New Tool for Managing IRS Notices

Later this month, Sage Software will be announcing a partnership that gives members of its Sage Accountants Network (SAN) easier and discounted access to the services of Beyond415, a web-based system for managing post-filing tax issues, notices and correspondence with the IRS. The program is the flagship product of New River Innovation, Inc.

With this new partnership, SAN members in the United States will be able to use Beyond415 at a 15 percent discount and also access several CPE-eligible educational webcasts on a variety of IRS and post-filing related topics, good for CPE credit.

“With the help of Beyond415, SAN members now will be better prepared to efficiently resolve post-filing IRS tax work, no matter the situation in which their clients find themselves,” said Jennifer Warawa, vice president, partner programs and channel sales, Sage North America. “Whether it’s a routine issue or something out of the ordinary, SAN members will have the guidance, procedural steps and the appropriate forms and templates to help put the issue to rest and turn their clients’ concern into confidence.”

Beyond415 was developed by Jim Buttonow, CPA.CITP, a former IRS Large Case Team Audit Coordinator who worked at the agency for 19 years. The program was developed to give tax professionals a streamlined method of working with ever-increasing notices, which the IRS and other taxing authorities have found to be effective tools.

“This partnership helps Sage Accountants Network members because they work with small business owners and high net worth individuals, and are no doubt seeing an increase in post-filing notices at the local, state and federal level,” Buttonow said. “And they aren’t going to decrease any time soon. As states and the federal government are struggling with budget deficits, they are getting smarter and more technologically streamlined.”

The Sage Accountants Network offers resources to increase technical competency and help grow an accountant’s practice by providing informative communications and resources, product discounts, training, certification and membership benefits related to the Sage portfolio of products.
