Skybot Scheduler Provides Job Scheduling Across Windows, UNIX, and Linux Servers

Skybot Software, a Help/Systems, LLC company, announces the release of Skybot Scheduler, a Web-based enterprise job scheduler and work load automation solution for Windows, UNIX (Solaris, AIX, HP-UX), and Linux servers.

Skybot Scheduler allows users to automate job scheduling and event monitoring on their Windows, UNIX, and Linux servers. Users can monitor their servers for events such as the creation, deletion, or modification of a file or directory; whether a file is growing; when processes start or end; or create manual events for specific tasks. This lets users create an event-driven job schedule across all their servers. For example, a file arriving on an AIX server can launch a script on a Linux server, which can then start a job on a Windows server. Users can set up and manage this entire process from a central console using any Web browser.

Skybot Scheduler handles the most common date- and time-oriented scheduling, including end of day, end of week, end of month, and end of quarter scheduling. Additional scheduling features let users set working and non-working days, create fiscal calendars, and perform interval scheduling.

Skybot Scheduler maintains audit logs and online history to help users comply with Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, and PCI requirements. Built-in notification for late and other critical events helps users keep up with Service Level Agreements.

Skybot Scheduler offers role-based security that ensures users have access to only the parts of the product they need to perform their jobs. Role-based security also makes it easier for system administrators to manage user privileges, by allowing them to change privileges for a large group of users on one screen.
