Career Highlights:

Eric Greene is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), with several years of “Big Four” financial accounting experience auditing large, publicly traded multinational corporations. Eric has held various technical and leadership responsibilities in both privately-owned and publicly-traded companies. Eric currently volunteers as an Advisory Chairman of the SEC Professionals Group located in Salt Lake City and on the Utah Assocation of CPA (UACPA)’s Professional Networking (ProNet) Council. Eric is an alumni of the American Institute of CPA (AICPA)’s National Leadership Academy, and a recipient of the UACPA’s Rising Star award. Eric graduated from Westminster with two Masters Degrees in Accounting (MAcc) and in Business Administration (MBA) with a 3.8 GPA, and Graduated from the University of Utah with two Undergraduate Degrees in Accounting (B.S.) and in Finance (B.S.).

What are you doing to make a difference in the profession, your community, the world?

    • Eric is passionate about making a difference in the profession and in his community. An avid University of Utah fan, Eric volunteers with the University of Utah’s SMART Start program to advise and guide students in business and accounting. In addition, Eric volunteers as an Advisory Chairman for the SEC Professionals Group in Salt Lake City, and serves on the Utah Association of CPA’s ProNet council. Outside of the profession, Eric enjoys serving in his church and serving his wife and two children.

Favorite books/websites/speakers that you find influential

    • Eric’s favorite books include “Extreme Ownership” by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin, the “the Black Swan” by Nassim Taleb, and “How will you measure your life” by Clayton Christensen.

What do you see yourself doing professionally in 10 years?

    • Eric hopes to be mentoring and assisting new professionals, staying on top of new technology and changes to the accounting profession, and learning and growing in new ways outside of his comfort zone every day.
