BKR International Elects First Woman World Chair
BKR International recently elected Jacqueline Wolfovski, Chartered Accountant, founding partner and executive committee member of Paris-based Exponens, as its World Chair. BKR International is a global association of 163 independent accounting and business advisory firms. As World Chair, Wolfovski will work with BKR’s Worldwide and Regional Boards and members to expand and bring awareness to BKR’s mission to foster continual learning, development, and community involvement.
BakerHostetler Names New Chief Financial Officer
BakerHostetler recently announced the appointment of Rick L. Johnson, CPA as chief financial officer. In his new role, Johnson will oversee all the firm’s financial processes, and work with the firm’s managers and attorneys to continue strengthen client relationships. Johnson graduated magna cum laude from Utah State University with a degree in accounting.
Sensiba San Filippo Adds to Team
Sensiba San Filippo LLP recently announced the addition of Jarrett Warner to its team. Warner has more than 13 years of public accounting experience, having worked internationally and helped numerous clients manage and implement tax strategies. He also co-instructed a course on S-corporations at Santa Clara University.
PKF O’Connor Davies Hires New Partner
PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP recently announced that it has named Daniel L. Effron, CPA as a partner in the firm’s tax practice. Effron’s expertise includes state and local tax issues. He has worked with corporations, partnerships and high net worth individuals in the technology, manufacturing, real estate, distribution and professional financial services industries. Effron frequently speaks and writes on various tax topics and state tax issues.
SEIA’s Women’s Empowerment Sub-Committee Names Co-Chair
CohnReznick Capital Markets Securities, LLC recently announced that Vice President Britta von Oesen has been appointed as co-chair of the Solar Energy Industries Association’s Women’s Empowerment Sub-Committee. As co-chair, von Oesen will work with SEIA and other industry associates to promote diversity within the solar industry. She will co-chair the sub-committee with Susannah Stroud Wright, Deputy General Counsel and Head of Compliance at SolarCity.
