A new website has been created to help educate Canadian employers on the Canada Job Grant, how they can benefit from it and how they can apply. The website, www.canadajobsgrant.com, was created by triOS Corporation, a career development provider, and Eastern College (Canada).

Additionally, the teams at Eastern and triOS can work with companies throughout the application process to ensure the best results and create customized curriculum based on the needs identified by the employer.

The Canada Job Grant is a unified approach between employers and institutions to ensure post-secondary education truly prepares students for the job market.  The grant provides businesses with funding for training to existing and future employees.  The employer makes a contribution and the government will fund up to two thirds of the training (to a maximum of $10K).

“As an IT employer in Ontario, we have worked with triOS for several years and have been so pleased with the number of qualified graduates they have provided.  The Canada Job Grant is a fantastic program as it gives a way for employers and educators to work together,” said Sheldon Waters, President and CEO of DSM Computing Solutions Inc.

Employers may need guidance when it comes to the Grant program, and triOS and Eastern are dedicated to helping them.  Both colleges already have a long history of partnering with employers to develop programming that prepares students for direct entry into the workforce.

“We have been working with employers for over 30 years and can provide them with the leverage they require to expand and grow their businesses.  We can consult with companies to identify gaps within their workforce and build curriculum to solve employment issues,” said Frank Gerencser, Chairman & CEO, triOS College and Eastern College
