The Indiana CPA Society is planning its 12th annual “CPA Day of Service,” to be held Sept. 26, 2014. The event is a day of volunteer service that reflects the CPA profession’s ongoing commitment to serving the communities where its professionals live and work through old-fashioned volunteerism.

During the CPA Day of Service, most INCPAS volunteers will be working from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. local time. The volunteer locations encompass a variety of organizations and include both indoor and outdoor projects. The volunteers work for CPA firms, businesses that employ CPAs, or universities. This year, 13 of the firms, businesses or schools are sending more than 10 participants each to volunteer.

Statewide, volunteers are participating in community service and charitable work at 24 volunteer locations in 15 cities. In Central Indiana, there are eight locations.
