Rodman & Rodman P.C. Announces New Promotions
Rodman & Rodman, P.C. recently promoted Robert Leonard, CPA to Audit Director and several others within its Renewable Energy and Cleantech Specialty Practice. In his new role, Leonard will oversee financial statement engagements audits and reviews for closely held businesses and employee benefit plans. Leonard earned his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Bentley University and his Master of Business Administration degree from Framingham State College.  

Katherine Bautze was promoted to Marketing Director for the Renewable Energy and Cleantech specialty practice, also known as the “Green Team.” In her new role, Bautze will develop and implement communications programs to manage the company's Renewable Energy and Cleantech specialty brand, as well as oversee all marketing efforts and external vendors. She graduated from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Mark Vitello, CPA was promoted to Supervisor and will provide specialized tax advisory services and business strategy to small and medium sized companies. He will serve as the marketing lead on the Green Team and help build the firm’s brand and client base among companies and organizations involved in renewable energy, cleantech, and energy efficiency. Vitello received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Systems and Master of Accounting and Information Systems degree from at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University's Pamplin College of Business.

Elysha Sturm will provide accounting and tax service to renewable energy and cleantech companies across the U.S. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from Suffolk University and is in the process of pursuing a Master's degree in Taxation from Suffolk University as well as CPA certification.

Dixon Hughes Goodman Selects New York Office Partner
Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP recently named Ben Redman, CPA as a new Partner with the firm’s Transaction Advisory Practice. Redman has more than 15 years of public accounting experience, working with corporate buyers and private equity groups and assisting clients with middle market transactions. He graduated from Marshall University with B.A. in business and Wake Forest University with a M.B.A. in business.

Crawford & Company Appoints Head of Internal Audit for EMEA/AP
Crawford & Company recently announced the appointment of Michel Schürer as Head of Internal Audit for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. Schürer will be responsible for finance and compliance audit across the company's network outside the Americas. Schürer has extensive experience in a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals and manufacturing, food & beverage and accounting.

RBZ Names New Partner 
RBZ recently promoted Tammy Saetia, CPA to a Partner in the firm’s Law Firm Services Group. Saetia has 17 years of experience serving and managing law firms, including hiring and training staff, budgeting and cash management, developing management reports and other duties. She received her Master of Business Administration degree from the Anderson School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles and graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Accounting and Business Administration, with an emphasis on Human Resources Management.

WeiserMazars Expands Water and Utilities Practice 
WeiserMazars LLP recently appointed Robert K. Wilson, CPA, CGMA as a Partner in the Water & Utilities Practice. In his new role, Wilson will be responsible for delivering audit and consulting services. He has more than 30 years of experience providing organizational transformation services to the water, utilities, finance, customer service, human resources and information technology sectors. 

Grant Thornton Associate Selected for AICPA Leadership Academy
Grant Thornton LLP recently announced that the AICPA selected John Gleason, CPA, an audit senior associate in its Boston office, to participate in its 6th annual Leadership Academy. The AICPA selected 38 attendees from more than 100 candidates recommended by their employers, state CPA societies, or both. During the intensive five-day program, participants will learn strategic planning techniques and develop personal success skills for handling complex management challenges.
