ISACA and Deloitte to Offer CISA Auditor Exam Prep

Course to Be Offered in Five US Locations

ISACA, a nonprofit association of more than 110,000 business and IT professionals in 180 countries, is working with Deloitte & Touche LLP to offer a two-day CISA Cram Course in five USA locations to help candidates prepare for ISACA’s Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) exam. The courses will be offered 7-8 December 2013 in:

  • Atlanta, Georgia
  • Chicago, Illinois
  • Dallas, Texas
  • New York, New York
  • San Jose, California

The CISA designation has been earned by more than 105,000 professionals since its inception 35 years ago. It is recognized internationally as the global standard for IS audit, control and security professionals, and is accredited by the American National Standards Institute. The CISA certification is ranked among the highest-paying IT certifications in the Q2 2013 IT Skills and Certification Pay Index by the independent Foote Partners LLC and was a finalist for the 2013 Best Professional Certification Program Award from SC Magazine

“The CISA designation is a powerful career enhancement and has helped many certification-holders boost their pay premiums and recognition levels, as it validates their knowledge and contributions to their enterprises,” said Allan Boardman, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, CA (SA), ACA, CISSP, international vice president of ISACA and chair of ISACA’s Credentialing and Career Management Board. “ISACA and Deloitte developed this course to provide guidance and support for those preparing for the exam and to help them succeed on their path to earning the CISA certification.”

At the ISACA- and Deloitte-hosted course, lectures, group discussions and sample exam questions with detailed explanations of answers will help attendees prepare for the exam. Attendees will gain an understanding of the format and structure of the CISA certification exam and will learn:

  • Topics, technical areas and domains covered by the exam
  • Strategies, tips and techniques for taking and passing the exam
  • An understanding of the testing approach

“We are very proud of the opportunities this course provides IT auditors to enhance the skills they need to help their organizations and take their careers to the next level,” said Tim Okrie, Internal Audit Transformation partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP.

The ISACA/Deloitte CISA Cram Course registration, which includes course materials, is US $1,000 for ISACA members and US $1,100 for nonmembers. Participants are eligible to earn up to 14 continuing professional education (CPE) hours.
