Pannell Kerr Forster of Texas, P.C. Announces Staff Changes
Pannell Kerr Forster of Texas, P.C. recently promoted Nikki Homratsamy, CPA to tax senior manager and Ray Boone to consulting solutions manager. Homratsamy specializes in international tax compliance issues, serving clients in the manufacturing and distribution, oilfield services and technology industries. Boone’s will have responsibility for project management and supervision of software teams, developing and supporting information technology solutions involving Microsoft Dynamic NAV. He has experience working with oilfield services, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, construction and property management companies.

Scott and Company LLC Names New Accountant
Scott and Company LLC recently hired Ryan LaBroov as an associate accountant in its Tax and Advisory Services group. LaBroov’s experience includes working with auto dealerships, law firms, insurance agencies and nonprofit agencies on corporate and partnership taxation issues. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.

Smith Elliott Kearns & Company, LLC Announces Promotions
Smith Elliott Kearns & Company recently announced the promotions of Jill L. Bachtell, Mark A. Hill, Brooke A. Murphy, EA and William H. Souders, CPA to supervisor; Erin Shoop, CPA to senior associate; Mandy L. Walls to staff associate; and Kelley R. Merris to supervising accountant.

Bachtell graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and specializes in providing ERISA and manufacturing audit services. Hill received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Elizabethtown College and works with institutional healthcare clients. Murphy graduated from University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and serves tax, accounting services, and QuickBooks clients. Souders received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Shippensburg University and provides audit services to nonprofit, governmental and business clients in the Hagerstown office. Shoop with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from Mount St. Mary’s University and provides services to financial institutions, nonprofits and ERISA clients. Walls received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Kaplan College and works with the firm’s small business and individual clients providing accounting, tax and QuickBooks services. Merris provides payroll and accounting services to clients while supervising the accounting service practice and serves on the ACTS Committee.

Weaver Names New Partner
Weaver recently announced the addition of Robert W. Henry, CPA as partner in tax and strategic business services. Henry has more than 10 years of public accounting experience working with the Big Four. He specializes in income tax compliance, implementation of complex tax-planning strategies and representation before the IRS for large and midsize companies. Henry received his Master of Science in Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Trinity University.
