Accounting errors at Pittsburgh PD investigated by the FBI
Each year, millions of dollars flow from private companies to Pittsburgh's Bureau of Police to pay officers who work private security details arranged through the bureau's Special Events Office.
This lack of accounting infuriates Officer Swartzwelder.
"It's outrageous and irresponsible," he said. "We're not talking about $800 or $1,000 here. We're talking about more than a half a million."
