Illinois CPA Society taking applications for college scholarships

The Illinois CPA Society has opened the application period for scholarships for the 2013-14 academic year. Illinois college students pursuing an accounting degree with plans to become a Certified Public Accountant can apply for the following scholarships:

The Illinois CPA Society has opened the application period for scholarships for the 2013-14 academic year. Illinois college students pursuing an accounting degree with plans to become a Certified Public Accountant can apply for the following scholarships:

  • Illinois CPA Society Accounting Tuition Scholarship: Multiple scholarships of up to $2,000 each available to students enrolled as a senior or graduate student.
  • Illinois CPA Society Textbook Scholarship: Multiple awards of up to $500 each in book and curriculum expenses available to students enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student.
  • Herman J. Neal Scholarship: Multiple scholarships of up to $4,000 each available to African-American students enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student.
  • Women’s Executive Committee Advancing Women in Accounting Scholarship: Multiple scholarships of up to $4,000 each available to high-achieving female students enrolled as a senior or graduate student.

The deadline for applications is April 1, 2013. Candidates may apply for multiple scholarships. For more information and to apply, visit www.icpas.org/students.htm.
