Small Businesses Leverage Mobile Technology to Increase Productivity, Shows Paychex Infographic

Small business owners are able to save almost 17 hours a week by utilizing mobile apps and solutions in their businesses, according to the latest infographic released by Paychex, Inc., provider of payroll, human resource, and benefits outsourcing solutions for small and medium-sized businesses.

The Paychex infographic took a look at how small businesses use mobile technology to increase efficiency and productivity within their businesses. Forty-two percent of small business owners reported using their mobile number as the primary contact number for business. In addition, 54 percent and 36 percent use their mobile devices to check email and access the internet, respectively, throughout each day.

"Small business owners and entrepreneurs are constantly facing new demands on their time and are increasingly turning to mobile technology to better manage it," said Paychex President and CEO Martin Mucci. "In fact, as our new infographic illustrates, 50 percent of small businesses who use mobile technology say they couldn’t survive without it."

Paychex also recently launched the Paychex Mobile app for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry, and has a website designed with the small business owner and entrepreneur in mine. The mobile app allows users to manage employees and give them access to payroll, benefits and retirement information. The BuildMyBiz website serves as a central hub for information and resources on mobility. Small business owners and entrepreneurs have access to articles, podcasts, blog posts and infographics that cover a range of topics, including mobile payment systems and processing payroll using mobile technology.
