Cabinet NG Announces Collaborate Conference Keynote

Former NASA Astronaut to Discuss Benefits of Exploration and How it Relates to Real Business



HUNTSVILLE, AL – Cabinet NG (CNG), provider of document management and workflow software, today announced that Dr. Jan Davis, former NASA astronaut, will be the keynote speaker for its Collaborate Conference to be held September 24-25th at The Westin Huntsville in Alabama. This year’s conference theme will be “Real Ideas for Real Business,” and will focus on providing CNG users with the need to achieve exceptional results in today’s marketplace. Davis will be addressing the benefits of exploration with a presentation titled, “Exploration – Past, Present, and Future.”


The Collaborate Conference will provide CNG customers, VARs, partners and potential customers the opportunity to explore best practices, share their ideas and discuss their thoughts about document management. The event is designed to help clients new and old, maximize their current CNG investment with informative sessions, product training and collaboration opportunities.


Keynote speaker Dr. Jan Davis, former NASA astronaut, has logged over 673 hours in space and was initiated into the Alabama Aviation Hall of Fame and Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame. Davis started at NASA in 1979 to work for the Marshall Space Flight Center as an aerospace engineer. In 1986, she was named team leader in the Structural Analysis Division, and her team was responsible for the structural analysis and verification of the Hubble Space Telescope. Dr. Davis became an astronaut in June 1987 and flew as a mission specialist on STS-47 (1992) and STS-60 (1994), and was the payload commander on STS-85 (1997). After several senior executive positions in NASA, Dr. Davis retired from NASA in October 2005 and currently works for Jacobs Engineering, Science, and Technical Services contract at MSFC. She holds one patent, has authored several technical papers, and is a Registered Professional Engineer.
