BASIC SYSTEM FUNCTIONS:

Peachtree’s main user interface uses centers for easy system navigation. Setup wizards simplify the initial step of getting up and running. All centers are grouped according to the function(s) they perform, making it easy for new users to find the features they need. Data-entry screens are uncluttered and contain lookup options throughout. A toolbar is also available to use for module access. The included chart of accounts is construction-specific, and can be customized if needed.

The useful Business Status page provides company status in several areas including Account Balances, Revenue YTD, and Aged Payables and Receivables. Peachtree has also introduced 11 new modules to its dashboard option for Quantum (My Dashboards), including General Journal Entries, Inventory Adjustments, Payroll, Assemblies, Purchases Received, Top Vendors, and Item Purchase History by Vendor. A remote access option is also available, and the product easily integrates with CRM products such as ACT!. Peachtree runs on a Windows platform and will work with Windows 7, Vista and XP.

CORE ACCOUNTING CAPABILITIES:

Peachtree by Sage Premium Accounting for Construction 2012 contains all of the features and functionality found in all Peachtree accounting products, along with a series of tools and functions designed specifically for the construction industry. The user interface is easily customizable so that all system users can design an interface to suit their particular needs. Navigation centers are used throughout, with all centers displayed to the right of the screen. Information is refreshed on-screen each time a different navigation center is utilized. Peachtree’s data-entry screens are refreshingly free of clutter and offer numerous tabs to related functions within that screen.

Peachtree’s Business Status page displays eight distinct views of company data, including Aged AP, Aged AR and Account Balances. The Dashboard function has added 11 additional modules to the My Dashboards feature including Inventory Adjustments, Purchases Received and Item Purchase History. Both the Business Status Page and the My Dashboard are fully customizable.

Peachtree provides the ability to utilize a default chart of accounts that can be easily customized. Budget information for each cost center or department can be set up, and up to four years of budget information can be maintained. Peachtree’s GL functionality also includes an excellent banking function, making it easy to reconcile all accounts. Electronic payment options are available, and a series of analysis tools provide access to current company status. AP functions include processing standard vendor payments, along with the new Vendor Management Center, where users can manage all levels of vendor information. Peachtree’s AR functionality includes processing customer quotes, along with standard posting of payments. Peachtree will also automatically calculate retainage on any invoices or credit memos.
